Frozen is the highest grossing animated film of all time. Following the Disney's blockbuster hype, fans have been anxiously waiting for the sequel with Idina Menzel lending her voice to the movie's most celebrated character, Elsa.

In a recent interview with the voice actress, Menzel confirms that 'Frozen 2' is already in the works. Rumors indicate that the story will highlight Anna's emotional struggles in the upcoming title. According to Christian Post, the story will reportedly showcase Anna's discovery of her own powers. In the first title, Elsa dealt with the uncertainties and the consequences of her ability to control the ice.

In that same interview with E! News, Menzel also hinted that she will be lending Elsa her voice again along with Kristen Bell's Anna. The voice actress also jokingly mentioned about swirling speculations and theories surrounding Elsa's possible demise after falling off the cliff.

"We are at story writing and they're working on it and I think I'm in it. That's all I know - unless maybe Elsa falls off an ice cliff and she dies in the first five minutes," Menzel said with a smirk on her face as mentioned in a Yahoo News report.

'Frozen' is currently one of Disney's biggest cash cows owing to its mass appeal across generations of viewers. From ticket to movie-themed merchandise sales, Frozen's popularity has urged its creators to come up with a highly anticipated sequel although it remains to be seen whether the next title can live up to fans' expectations. If Disney makes a sudden shift to an Anna-centered storyline, it must be presented well as the sisters barely had significant moments together in the original title.

Meanwhile, an update from Movie News Guide suggest that Olaf (Josh Gad) may be getting himself a romantic partner in 'Frozen 2.' As one of the original film's most loved characters, Olaf's positive outlook in life makes fans wanting him to date with a snow-woman.

So far, there is no official word from Disney about the ongoing debate involving the LGBT community, on one hand, and conservative groups, on the other. Both sides have been actively campaigning online with LGBT advocates urging Disney to give Elsa a girlfriend staunchly opposed by conservatives who prefer giving the character a prince charming.
