iPhone 7 rumors are flying thick and fast though the device's launch is more than two months away. New reports based on cases said to be made for Apple's next, suggest it does have a trick or two up its sleeve but does not look different from its predecessors.

That Apple has made iPhone 7 in the image of iPhone 6S is beyond debate. However, this year's phone could have marking differences, including lack of headphone jack and better camera setups. While most rumors discussing these changes have been based on patents, purported leaks from supply sources and importantly, analysts like Ming-Chi Kuo, little direct evidence was made available.

Now, images of cases reportedly designed for iPhone 7 which surfaced on the Internet last week, showed they fit iPhone 6S perfectly, buttressing speculation that the two-year-old design has been reused this year. The takeaway however is, no headphone jack and a larger camera sensor; the case was designed for iPhone 7, implying the phone will feature dual-camera setup.

These leaks confirm Apple would restrict dual-cameras to the larger and premium iPhone 7 Plus that would also be equipped with 3 GB RAM and as much as 256 GB storage. Images in the recent past claimed to show the dual-camera module with storage chips that also indicate iPhone 7 would start with 32 GB storage.

For the iPhone 7, the cases show, Apple could be providing a camera with a significantly larger sensor. While tech gurus do not expect Apple to ramp up pixel count, it is expected the company will provide cameras with lager pixels than those on iPhone 6S. This would help improve low-light shooting capabilities.

The bottom of the cases show Apple will boost its external audio with a second speaker, the likes of which were seen in older iPhones. This could be aimed at making up for headphone jack removal that could anger music buffs who had invested heavily in quality headphones.
