WWE star is set to play his debut film role in the upcoming horror flick 'Mohawk.' Directed by Ted Geoghegan, the movie will also feature 'Hemlock Grove' star Kaniehtiio Horn and 'Twilight' actor Justin Rain. The film revolves around a young female Mohawk (Horn) being chased by renegade soldiers whose camp was set on fire by someone in her tribe.

"Mohawk is hard-hitting action-horror that subverts traditional genre tropes while delivering a timeless tale of good versus evil," Geoghegan said as quoted by The Wrap. "We look to deliver a horrifying home invasion film where the home is North America itself."

So far, no official word has come out on Harper's character. The pro wrestler has been on leave following his injury in March. The cast also includes Noah Segan, Ian Colletti, Robert Longstreet, Sheri Foster, Ezra Buzzington, Andrew Sensenig, and WWE's Jon Huber.

As per WhatCulture, Harper looks pretty much 'tailor-made for horror movie roles with his creepy acting and scary facial expressions. So far, no potential theatrical release has been given but shooting is reportedly underway.

Meanwhile, Inquistr indicated swirling rumors of Harper's removal from the Wyatts' lineup when he returns after recuperating from his injury. Harper seems prospective enough to establish himself as a star on his own. Things didn't go well when he first did it alone. Some observers think that with his absence, WWE may be able to recast him to a more creative role the next time around.

In another Harper-related news, there are speculations of Luke's surprising appearance in the Money in the Bank ladder match. That, however, remains to be seen. As the wrestling promotion braces up for the forthcoming RAW-SmackDown brand split, a number of wrestlers may get an upshot in their careers especially for those in team lineups. After all, some alliances simply don't work. As for Harper, it gives him a fresh start.
