According to Sabine Kehm, Michael Schumacher's manager who accepted a lifetime achievement award bestowed to Schumacher she still has hope in Michael's recovery from skiing accident that happened in December 2013. He suffered severe head injuries in skiing accident at French Alps.

In Kehm's speech she said according to Grandprix.com, "This award is an acknowledgement of his great willpower, his motivation, his talent, his discipline and his work ethic."

Kehm said, "I realise we would all like it if Michael himself could be here, but unfortunately that is not possible. We have to accept it and learn to deal with it.

"We will continue to hope and do everything so that it will be different again," she added.

Couple of weeks ago former Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo interviewed with CNN that he is happy that Schumacher is "reacting." However, he did not elaborate what he meant by "reacting" to the treatment.

While Michael's recovery is not certain at this point, there's some good news.

Mick Schumacher, the 17-year-old son of stricken Formula One legend , just achieved two wins in one day on Saturday in the German Formula 4 championships.

“Of course, you can’t wish for more than winning twice in two races and I’m obviously delighted,” said Schumacher Jnr.

Michael Schumacher is a seven-time Formula One World Champion and is widely regarded as one of the greatest Formula One drivers of all time. He first retired from racing in 2006 while driving for Ferrari. He cameback after four years with Mercedes but retired again at the end of 2012.
