Brad Pitt has played his fair share of heroes on the big screen. From Detective Mills in "Se7en," Rusty Ryan in "Ocean's Eleven," or even Achilles in "Troy," Pitt always seems to find himself coming to the rescue. Well, yesterday, he became a hero in real life when he bravely came to the rescue of a young fan.

Pitt, 52, helped a little girl who was almost trampled in a rowdy crowd on Monday on the set of his new World War II movie "Allied." Pitt rushed into the fray and helped scoop the little girl up before any harm could come to her.

While walking down to greet fans in the Canary Islands, the actor spotted the girl who was being pushed up against the fence by the swelling crowd. He and his two bodyguards helped carry her over the fence and away from the rough spectators.

You can watch the full video of the incident below.

In the video, Pitt is seen comforting the little girl and rubbing her head while talking to her after all the excitement died down. Pitt then stayed with the girl, who began to cry, until medics arrived. After the girl was cleared by the medical staff, Pitt waved to the crowd and took his leave.

No, it may not be as dramatic as saving the world from a zombie apocalypse like in "World War Z," but it's great to see one of Hollywood's biggest movie stars going out of his way to help a frightened little girl.

As for the film, "Allied" is shaping up to be a must-see movie. Directed by the legendary Robert Zemeckis ("Forrest Gump," "Back to the Future") and written by Steven Knight ("Peaky Blinders," "Eastern Promises"), "Allied" is said to follow Max (Pitt), a French-Canadian spy in 1942 as he falls in love and marries French agent Marianne (Marion Cotillard) following a mission in, where else, Casablanca. However, soon after, Max becomes suspicious that his loving wife may actually be a Nazi spy.

With Academy Award-caliber talent both behind and in front of the camera, "Allied" is sure to be a heavy Oscar favorite when it arrives on Nov. 23. Until then, we'll just have to celebrate Pitt's small acts of heroism in real life.
