Free agent negotiations can often turn bitter and hostile even between the most loyal of players and teams. Though Denver Broncos linebacker and reigning Super Bowl MVP Von Miller remains technically unsigned, he harbors no ill will toward general manager John Elway or anyone else in the Broncos organization.

Miller returned to Denver Wednesday for his annual Von's Vision Reveal Party, in which he hands out eyeglasses to more than 280 area children. While there, Miller addressed his uncertain free agent status but maintained that it's all "just business" as the two sides continue to negotiate.

"My teammates know what type of teammate I am," Miller said. "They know what type of guy I am. It's just the business part of it. There's really no hard feelings or anything like that. (The Broncos) know what type of guy I am. I'm expecting a deal any day. That's just the type of mindset I have."

Denver slapped Miller with the exclusive franchise tag earlier this offseason, worth roughly $14.1 million in 2016. But the linebacker has yet to sign his tender as he continues to jockey for a long-term deal.

"It's hard not being around my guys," he said. "I haven't seen those guys in two to three months. We had a special season. I spent every day with those guys. I want to be with those guys, but it's just a business thing."

Miller has kept busy during his downtime and as he avoids Denver's voluntary offseason program. He's been on an ambitious media tour over the last few weeks, appearing on talk shows and even "Dancing With the Stars." However, come July 15, a resolution of some sort will have to be reached as that is the deadline for teams and franchise players to either reach a long-term agreement or play on the tag.

"There's really not anything negative about it," he added. "Of course I want to be there with my guys. Just taking it one day at a time. I'm just working out, dancing, trying to do the best I can with that."

Miller recorded 35 total tackles with 11.0 sacks, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries in 2016. He has accrued 60.0 career sacks in 72 game appearances.
