The Phoenix Suns were one of the worst teams in the NBA this past season, but they are convinced that they do not need to go through a rebuild. They may be right considering they have a really talented roster, but one thing that they do need to focus on is adding depth.

The Suns have admitted, since the season ended, that they were not prepared to suffer any sort of major injuries this season, and that is due to lack of depth. Of course, no team could have been prepared for the injuries that they had to their best players, but it is always good to have a strong contingency plan, just in case.

The Suns will return the majority of their core for next season, and they will all presumably be healthy. Despite that, the Suns still want to improve their roster and make it deeper. Phoenix is expected to have around $30 million in cap space, but one of their big interests is in bringing Bogdan Bogdanovic over from Europe for next season.

Bogdanovic was the Suns' first-round pick back in 2014, but he has been playing in Europe for Fenerbache Ulker, which happens to be the best team in the Euroleague this season. Bogdanovic is a star in Europe, but it seems as though he may be ready to make the jump to the NBA. Members of the Suns, including GM Ryan McDonough, will meet with Bogdanovic when his season is over about potentially joining them next season.

Going into next season, the Suns will be pretty set at guard, assuming everyone is healthy, as they have Eric Bledsoe, Brandon Knight and Devin Booker. All three of those guys have proven that they can be starters in the NBA, so new head coach Earl Watson will have to figure out how to divide their minutes up. Despite that conundrum, the Suns still like the idea of bringing over Bogdanovic and think that he can have an impact right away.

"It's exciting because he'd technically be a NBA rookie but he has tremendous experience playing high-level games in Europe, in the World Championships and for the Serbian national team," McDonough said. "He could be one of the more ready-to-play rookies that you'll see."

This season for Fenerbache Bogdanovic has averaged 11.6 points per game while making 39 percent of his three pointers. The Suns are extremely high on him, and it seems like he could have a role if he were to come over next season. In the NBA nowadays, you can never have too many shooters or too much depth, and the Suns learned that the hard way this past season, so they plan to fix that mistake moving forward.
