The Washington Redskins will be hosting top pass rushing prospect Noah Spence as they look to give their defensive unit a little more firepower. The Redskins were in dire need of a pass rush, and this was their ultimate downfall when they entered the playoffs.

Now as they look to reload, Washington could have some interest in Spence, as he will have a private workout with the team today. Spence has been labeled as one of the better pass rushers coming out of this draft, but his work ethic has been up for debate. Spence should fall farther than the other top five pass rushers in this draft.

The Redskins may be counting on this, as they could target him with their 21st overall pick. Washington went 9-7 last season, but they made the playoffs, so they will be one of the last teams picking during the draft. Currently, the Redskins need a center more than anything else.

They could potentially land one of the best centers in the draft at their position, or at least a player within the top three. Washington also has needs at the defensive line, wide receiver and cornerback positions. A quality defensive end like Spence could go a long way to rebuilding this defensive line that held the Redskins back from making a deep push into the playoffs.

They could look to select their next great wide receiver, but they do have Jamison Crowder waiting in the wings to challenge both Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson for a starting job. The last position of need that they could fill would be cornerback, and it is unlikely that they will be able to land a top cornerback prospect so late into the draft.

Washington did acquire strong safety David Bruton from the Denver Broncos, as well as tight end Vernon Davis. They stayed pretty steady at edge rusher throughout free agency, only signing Kendall Reyes from the San Diego Chargers and re-signing Junior Galette.

Washington's big play during free agency was to grab a defensive back, not an edge rusher, so that could tell you what position they will be trying to take in the first round of the NFL draft. Landing Spence could change the way that the rest of the NFC East looks at this franchise.
