Following her incredible success in the music industry, director Peter Berg has decided to create a documentary about Rihanna's life and her rise to fame.

Berg, who is best known for his work on "Lone Survivor" and "Friday Night Lights," will direct the film while his company, Film 45, will produce it. The documentary will finally give fans an "unfiltered" look into the 28-year-old singer's fabulous life.

"Follow this true international superstar as she navigates life as an artist, businesswoman, and humanitarian, while contending with the inherent pressure of artistic freedom," Film 45's site reads. "Peter Berg's 'Rihanna' is an unfiltered look into Rihanna's life and how she's ascended to become a global icon, providing a glimpse into the evolution of one of the world's most well-known pop artists."

The documentary will be a contemporary take on the 1967 Bob Dylan rock documentary "Don't Look Back." It's unclear if he's begun filming the documentary yet, but Rihanna will be starring in the film

Rihanna and Berg have worked together in the past as she made her acting debut in his 2012 film "Battleship." Earlier this week, he shared a selfie with Rihanna with the caption, "This girl RiRi she's not bad. See I'm smiling I ain't mad."

Ever since she released "Pon De Replay" at just 16 years old, the Barbadian singer has had a successful musical career. She recently released her eighth studio album "Anti," which was her second to reach No.1 on Billboard 200. More than 10 of her songs, including "Umbrella," "Disturbia," "We Found Love," "Work" and "Diamonds," are considered some of the world's best-selling singles of all time. She has sold more than 200 million records worldwide, making her one of the best-selling artists of all time. She's won eight Grammys, eight American Music Awards, 23 Billboard Music Awards, two BRIT Awards and was even awarded the inaugural Icon Award at the 2013 American Music Awards.

As if her musical career isn't impressive enough, she's also made quite the name for herself in the fashion industry. In 2014, she received the Fashion Icon lifetime achievement award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America, and she's currently has her own clothing line with Puma and is the athletic brand's global brand ambassador as well as the Women's Creative Director.

Rihanna is currently on her "Anti" world tour, which does not wrap up until May 18. The untitled documentary does not yet have a release date, but Film 45 has said that it's "coming soon."
