Earlier this week, it was reported that Lindsay Lohan was engaged to her Russian millionaire boyfriend Egor Tarabasov. However, her rep has shut the talk down.

Lohan, 29, and Tarabasov, 22, went public with their relationship in March. She revealed in an interview that they had just met last summer. Considering they have only been dating about seven months, it seemed very quick when the engagement reports started going around Tuesday. The reports claimed Tarabasov asked Lohan to marry him this past weekend, but neither had confirmed nor denied the engagement until now.

"The story is untrue and holds no merit," said Lohan's rep Hunter Frederick. A longtime friend of Lohan also revealed that the reports are false.

The two are currently living together in London though, as she moved in with him last month. Lohan, who has a troubled past, is very pleased with how her life is going at the moment.

"She's in a really good place," a source close to the "Mean Girls" star said in March. "She's made a new life for herself. They are moving in together to a bigger place, and they seem to be getting more serious. She seems really happy."

Lohan has been living in London since 2012 and, since then, has been keeping a low profile.

"She's not partying as much like she used to," the source added. "She's doing really well and she is taking cooking classes with some girlfriends... She has been happy staying out of the public eye. She likes staying in and flying under the radar and staying out of trouble."

When and if the two do decide to get engaged, it's nice to know that her parents, Dina and Michael Lohan, approve of the young businessman.

"He's just a sweetheart," Dina said last month. "He's an only child, and I just FaceTimed with them and his mom a few days ago. He's cool and he's very mature for his age. He's older than his years. Being an only child and traveling the world educates you in other ways. He's not about celebrity or anything, which is really important."

"He has a lot of strong connections in Russia - these are big people and they're very supportive," Michael explained in a separate interview. "He wants things to be in the right place for Lindsay and he's wise beyond his years."
