AMC was on a warpath to combat spoilers and leaks throughout the season six run of "The Walking Dead." But perhaps instead of targeting helpless fan-run sites, they should start getting their own house in order.

"The Walking Dead" comic book's official social media sites may have revealed that season seven will include a major comic book character: Ezekiel, leader of The Kingdom, and his tiger Shiva. How did such a massive spoiler slip through the cracks?

Yesterday was National Pet Day and the Internet was flooded with people sharing images of their cute and cuddly companions. But comic book publisher Skybound took it a step further on their "Walking Dead" page and shared a panel of Ezekiel and his tiger Shiva (as if "The Walking Dead" wasn't crazy enough already) that hinted at the duo's introduction next season.

The original Facebook post read, "You'll get to meet Ezekiel and Shiva soon enough," while the Instagram post read, "Don't worry, Walking Dead fans. You'll get to meet Ezekiel and Shiva next season."

*facepalm*

Happy #NationalPetDay! We hope you're loving your pet as much as Ezekiel loves Shiva!

Both posts were quickly edited to reflect the less-spoilery version you see above. Is that confirmation that the comic book characters will be receiving the on-screen treatment? No, of course not. But it certainly is suspicious.

As we saw in the season six finale, two unknown armor clad men appear out of nowhere (just how big are the Alexandrian woods?) to help Carol and Morgan. It's very possible that these individuals came from The Kingdom, which is an important location in the source material.

Unfortunately, we'll have to wait until October when "The Walking Dead" returns to AMC to find out for sure.
