The Denver Broncos lost some significant players this offseason, and they have some major decisions to make with the 2016 NFL Draft coming at the end of the month. The Broncos' biggest concern heading into the 2016 season is the quarterback position, as Denver currently has Mark Sanchez and Trevor Siemian listed as the only quarterbacks on their roster.

Denver acquired Sanchez through a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles, and while many expect the team to take a quarterback in the upcoming 2016 NFL Draft, Sanchez is preparing for the starting position.

"Listen, I don't care who is there, what is going on right now," Sanchez said. "They are going to give me a fair shake, that's all I can ask for, a fair shot. I am good. Let's go. I will bet on myself and compete my butt off. I will be friendly and professional with whoever is there. But I want this bad. Really bad. I want what they experienced last year."

The former Jets and Eagles quarterback has proven the ability to get it done as a starter in this league, but he will need to be surrounded by a strong team. The former first round draft pick has a 37-35 record as a starter in the NFL but struggled last season filling in for Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford, as he went 0-2 and threw four touchdowns to four interceptions.

Despite his struggles in the league, Sanchez has been a part of some strong teams, including a 2010 Jets team that made it to the AFC Championship. The key to the success of that team was a dominant defense and strong ground game, which are two areas that the Broncos showed success in last season.

Sanchez is trying to get acclimated to his new team quickly and has not wasted any time this offseason, as he brought together a passing camp with Broncos receivers at Mission Viejo High School in California. It's unknown what the Broncos' plans are with the quarterback position heading into the draft, but head coach Gary Kubiak said that he expects general manager John Elway to address the position in the draft.

While there has been speculation and reports of a potential trade for 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick, Kubiak is moving forward with what they currently have on their roster. "We need to stay focused on the guys on our team right now," Kubiak said. "We're excited about Mark and we know those guys are up there throwing in California, so that's exciting. Trevor is a fine young player, so we're focused on those two and getting ready to go here in a couple weeks."
