Mariah Carey has decided to cancel her Sunday night show in Brussels following the devastating news of the terrorist attacks that occurred in the city earlier this week.

The 45-year-old pop diva took to Twitter on Friday to explain that she will no longer be performing at the Forest National arena for her Sweet Sweet Fantasy European Tour on March 27, which is also her 46th birthday, as she has been advised that this decision is for the best.

"I love my fans in Brussels and at this time I am being advised to cancel my show for the safety of my fans, my band, my crew and everyone involved with the tour," she wrote. "I hope to see you soon and send my prayers and eternal love, laughter and light to my Lambs."

Apparently, the advice to cancel this show on Easter day came from her security team, and at this moment, she has no plans to reschedule the concert since the capital of Belgium has been such a hot zone since the attacks on Tuesday. Police are still trying to find the suspects and have been doing raids throughout Brussels all week.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the coordinated attacks that took place at the Brussels International Airport and Maelbeek metro station Tuesday morning, but the terrorists involved have not yet been confirmed. A total of 31 people were killed, and dozens were wounded.

Adele took the stage Tuesday night at London's O2 Arena and used her incredible voice to honor the victims of the terrorist attack by performing Bob Dylan's classic "To Make You Feel My Love."

"I don't think I've ever actually been so moved before in my life at one of my shows, that was just so beautiful," Adele said after she sang. "Thank you very much for doing that...I think they heard us."
