One of the greatest things about Jimmy Fallon’s “Tonight Show” is his ability to bring random celebrities together to play fun games. On Tuesday night, the host and his two guests for the episode, Saoirse Ronan and Don Cheadle, played a game of Catchphrase together - and things got intense.

For the game, Cheadle was paired with “The Tonight Show” announcer Steve Higgins, while the fiercely competitive Ronan was on Fallon’s team. At the beginning of the game, Ronan revealed she was so nervous that she did not even listen to the instructions for the game as Fallon explained them.

The foursome got off to an impressive start in the first round, with everyone guessing the phrases in a couple of clues or less before the time on the buzzer ran out. Phrases needed to be guessed included “Easter Bunny,” “BFF,” “Spring Break,” “Swipe Right,” “Falsetto,” “Boy Band,” “Bungee Jumping” and “Ew.”

“This is a good game,” Fallon said at the conclusion of the first round, which his team won. “I’m breaking a sweat.”

The two teams then entered the second round with Fallon and Ronan having a slight advantage, but there was still more Catchphrase to play. However, the host and actress got tripped up when Fallon had to guess “Bust a Move.” As Ronan gave clues to Fallon, she kept on referring to it as “throw a shape,” which apparently means “bust a move” in Ireland where the actress is from. Due to the miscommunication, Cheadle and Higgins won the second round. The men then won the third round as well, making them the all-around winners of this game of Catchphrase.

In the same episode of “Tonight Show,” Cheadle promoted his new Miles Davis biopic “Miles Ahead,” in which he portrays the legendary trumpeter and jazz musician. Ronan, a two-time Academy Award-nominated actress (for “Atonement” and “Brooklyn”) stopped by in anticipation of her Broadway debut in the revival of Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible,” in which she plays the role of Abigail.
