The buzz around "Mass Effect 4" is in full swing after Bioware's GM Aaryn Flynn answered a few questions regarding the upcoming game.

Fans of the series were expecting to see a "Mass Effect 4" trailer during VGX 2013, hosted by Spike TV this past weekend. However, fans were left disappointed as no teaser was revealed during the award show.

Since no new game details were featured during the show, fans took to Twitter to ask Flynn when they would get to hear "Mass Effect 4" news.

However, there are few facts that have been confirmed according to IGN. The biggest fact of all is that "Mass Effect 4" will not star Commander Shepard, the lead of the original trilogy.

"The game is also said to share many of the 'core features' with 'Dragon Age: Inquisition". This likely means that the systems working in the background will all be similar, not necessarily the combat, dialogue, or anything else," IGN reported.

BioWare also released images of their team working on "Mass Effect 4" on N7 Day (Nov. 7), where the game developers and their fans celebrate the franchise. Click here to view the photos.

For now, gamers will have to wait for more details to come along in 2014. Check out the list of VGX 2013 winners below, courtesty of Heavy.com.
