LeBron James is under the microscope yet again. Yesterday, the NBA star unfollowed the Cleveland Cavaliers on Twitter, sparking endless debates and questions surrounding his standing with the team. Since the move, James has been dogged by media trying to get to the truth.

Perhaps in response to this media circus, James is thinking about a potential change when it comes to his social media.

"Think I just may join the Snap this week," James wrote in a tweet Tuesday morning. "Another way for my fans to ride with me throughout my journey."

For those of you that are unfamiliar with Snapchat, the app lets users post 12-second photos and videos and has become particularly popular among current NBA players. Miami Heat center Hassan Whiteside actually inspired DJ Khaled, who now runs the world's most popular account.

Earlier this week, James declined to comment on his decision to unfollow the Cleveland Cavaliers on Twitter.

Following the four-time MVP's post-game comments, he unfollowed a handful of other accounts, including several members of the Cleveland media and a couple national reporters. Is there something here, or are we blowing it out of proportion? James has always been cagey when it comes to his long-term future in Cleveland.

However, a recent report suggests that this move has nothing to do with head games and everything to do with on-court goals. The report claims that James' unfollowing spree is only in preparation for the post-season, in which the NBA superstar usually goes "radio silent" on all social media platofrms.

Beyond that, another report stated that James has given up his role as locker room DJ and no longer includes music in his pregame routine. This Kobe Bryant-esque seriousness is seen by some as an effort to stay focused and driven for the playoffs.

But why would he then join Snapchat amid all of this supposed playoff prep? Some questions we just don't have the answers to, unfortunately.

In 64 games so far this season, James is averaging 24.9 points, 6.6 assists and 7.4 rebounds. Though a first-team All-Star yet again this season, the MVP race has been virtually locked up by reigning winner and NBA champion Stephen Curry.

James and the Cleveland Cavaliers will next play the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center on Thursday, March 24. The Cavs have won their two previous games against the Nets this season.
