The Miami Heat absolutely trounced the Eastern Conference favorite Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night. Recently, Miami has looked every bit the contender in the East many thought it would be and it has LeBron James worried about it come playoff time.

The scary part about this Miami Heat team right now is that they have been playing lately without one of their best players in Chris Bosh. Bosh has not played since the All-Star break after it was revealed he had a blood clot in his calf, but he has remained confident he would be back this season. The Heat have not provided very many updates regarding Bosh's status at all, so it is hard to get a read on if and when he may return.

Bosh announced good news in a statement about two weeks ago when he said that there are no active blood clots in his leg. At that time, Bosh said he was positive that he would be able to return at some point this season, but we haven't received any sort of status update since then aside from him having no timetable for a return.

The Heat have made it clear from the get-go that they will not put Bosh back on the floor if there is any sort of risk for him. The team wants 100 percent confirmation that him going back on the floor is safe before it potentially risks his life. Blood clots are no joke, so you cannot blame the Heat for taking these precautions, but Pat Riley said the team is "open-minded" about Bosh returning this season.

Before Riley made this statement it seemed like an extreme long shot that Bosh would get back on the floor this season, but if the team is as open-minded as he says, then it could definitely happen. Bosh has been confident all along, and he says he wants to get back on the floor and is working towards doing just that.

Miami will absolutely not rush Bosh's return and it has no reason to. The Heat are playing good basketball without him so the best case scenario may be having him back for the playoffs, which is when he will really be needed. Bosh's possible return is extremely difficult to predict because the Heat have not been very forthcoming with information or updates regarding their 31-year-old forward. Everything that has come out about him recently though, makes it seem more and more likely he will play again at some point this season.
