After launching onto the scene in 2014 thanks to her breakthrough song "Fancy," it seemed like Australian rapper Iggy Azalea would be the next big thing in music. The next year, 2015, Azalea faced tons of criticism from fans and her peers in the music industry because of a canceled tour. The rapper stopped by radio's "Zach Sang Show" and opened up about the turmoil that she faced in the past year.

In the interview, Azalea admitted to the host that she "thought about quitting life," but her love for music kept her going.

"It's my whole life - this is what I do," she said in the interview. "I've been rapping since I was 14, and this is all that I know. It's what my gift is, whether you think I'm talented or not. I don't know any other job, and I'm not interested in any other job."

Today, the rapper put out what she hopes will be her comeback song, "Team," and also released a dance music video for it. The song, presumed to be the first single off of her new album "Digital Distortion," is the first new piece of music she has released since she teamed up with Britney Spears for "Pretty Girls" in 2015.

The rapper also got candid about her canceled Great Escape tour, which was supposed to take place from April to May of 2015 in North America and Europe. She opened up about the tour and her tough year, saying she had a "psychotic breakdown last year."

"I felt like I was definitely not in control of the media's narrative of me... It made me feel very out of control of my own life or my ability to have my own perception of who I was," Azalea said of her rough year. "You don't want someone else writing your narrative and making you the villain. Then I just realized that, you know what, you can't control it, and I think I accepted that and moved on to living my life."

While the rapper did have a rough 2015, one good thing that happened to her was her engagement to Los Angeles Lakers player Nick Young. The two got engaged last summer with plans to wed this year, but had to push back the date to make room for an upcoming tour.

"I'm planning my wedding, actually moved my wedding cause I have to tour, so my wedding plans are changing," she said. "It was going to happen at the end of the year, but now I have to go to work, so we'll probably have to wait until the end of the next basketball season to do that. So that kind of is a bit sucky, but it's alright."
