Last night, Kylie Jenner finally announced the name of the gorgeous deep purple shade of lipstick she previously teased. Jenner named the new Kylie Lip Kit color Kourt K, which is a nod to her oldest sister Kourtney Kardashian.
The new color is possibly the boldest in the collection - which features nude, brown, red and soft pink shades - as Jenner finally decided to cater to the new trend in lipstick, dark shades. The eighth color in her line was announced at a time when the Lip Kit has been so high in demand, it has already completely sold out twice. A restock is on the horizon for next week and fans will most likely have the chance to pick up the new shade then.
Before Jenner announced the official name of the new shade of matte lipstick and lip liner, she posted a video to her Kylie Cosmetics Instagram account of her friend Jordyn Woods wearing Kourt K with the caption: "Is that a new color I spy?!" Jenner previously used Woods as a model to tease one of her unreleased Lip Kit shades when she was seen wearing the orange-red shade 22, which was released days later and sold out in record time.
Kourt K is not the first Kylie Lip Kit shade to be named after someone related to Jenner. The 18-year-old named the light pink shade Koko K after her sister Khloé Kardashian and the bright red color Mary Jo K after her grandmother (Kris Jenner's mother). While Jenner's mother and sisters Kendall Jenner and Kim Kardashian do not have their own Lip Kit colors yet, it probably won't be long until everyone in the entire Kardashian/Jenner family has their own shade.
Even though Kim does not have a Kylie Lip Kit color named after her yet, the mother of two was one of 12 celebrities who had the honor of having a new Charlotte Tilbury lipstick named after them in the company's Hot Lips line. Each shade was not just named after a famous woman, but was inspired by their signature look. Kim's shade, Kim K.W., is a vintage-inspired pale pink nude that makes lips look "instantly fuller and irresistible."
While Kim's shade of Charlotte Tilbury lipstick is not available for purchase until June 27, Jenner promised that the Kourt K Lip Kit shade is coming soon.
