Former porn star-turned-Bollywood actress Sunny Leone has reportedly bagged a role in superstar Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie "Raees."

The makers of the crime drama have approached Leone to do an item song in the Rahul Dholakiya-directed film. Pakistani top actress Mahira Khan is playing the female lead in the movie, which is slated to release around Diwali this year.

The 34-year-old actress will be seen dancing with Shah Rukh Khan on 1980 chartbuster "Laila O Laila" from Feroz Khan and Zeenat Aman's film "Qurbani."

"Raees is set in the '80s and there was need of a song sequence. The makers unanimously selected 'Laila O Laila' which perfectly fits with the dark, gangster theme and period. It was suggested to Shah Rukh and it was his idea to get Sunny on board. A lavish set is being created in Mumbai and rehearsals are on in full swing," an informed source told Mumbai Mirror newspaper.

"She will begin shooting for Raees next month. It will be a two-day schedule," the source added.

"This is a big leap for Sunny who has so far been avoided by A-list actors because their wives disapproved. Now with Aamir declaring he would love to work with her Sunny , Shah Rukh has actually taken the plunge, breaking the taboo created among A-listers regarding Sunny's career," another source said.

Leone has worked in hit Bollywood movies like "Ragini MMS 2" and "Jism 2." Top Indian stars have refrained from working with her due to her previous work in porn industry, until now. Stars like Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan not only backed her, but also expressed the desire to work with Leone following her controversial interview with senior journalist Bhupendra Chaubey.

"I never cast for my films. It is the director who does it. But if there is an opportunity for me to work with Sunny, I'd be happy to do it. Every artist and actor has his or her own calibre and Sunny is a wonderful actor," SRK had said.
