Beyoncé and Jay Z have announced that they plan to stick to a 22-day vegan diet until Christmas, but the 32-year-old singer made quite the fashion faux-pas while out to a vegan restaurant with her husband in L.A., wearing a fur-lined jacket, the Daily Mail reports.

Vegans abstain from consuming or using any animal products, many out of protest for the way animals are treated in the food and fashion industries, and Beyoncé's fox fur collar likely didn't sit well with fellow patrons at Native Foods in Westwood, Los Angeles. The star was sporting a £2,915 Christopher Kane wool-blend parka with a real fur collar, though even fake fur would have likely caused some raised eyebrows across the restaurant.

TMZ sources claim that the famous couple enjoyed dining on marinated kale salad, Indian curried lentils and corn tacos with chipotle butternut squash, finishing off their meal with vegan chocolate truffles for dessert.

Earlier this week, the music power couple were spotted out at the popular L.A. organic restaurant, Café Gratitude.

"Psychologists have said it takes 21 days to make or break a habit. On the 22nd day, you've found the way," Jay Z wrote on his "Life and Times Blog" on Tuesday, Dec. 3. "On December 3, one day before my 44th birthday I will embark on a 22 Days challenge to go completely vegan, or as I prefer to call it, plant-based! This all began a few months back when a good friend and vegan challenged me to embrace a plant-based breakfast everyday. It was surprisingly easier on me than I thought."

"It just feels right!," he added. "So you can call it a spiritual and physical cleanse. I will post my progress. Any professional vegans out there that have any great food spots please help out! Please! I don't know what happens after Christmas. A semi-vegan, a full plant-based diet? Or just a spiritual and physical challenge? We'll see. P.S. B (Beyoncé) is also joining me."
