While previous reports have claimed that Kanye West hired a cousin of the late Andy Warhol, Monica Warhol, to create a silk screen painting of Kim Kardashian, TMZ sources report that Kardashian has no idea who she is.

Monica Warhol, an artist from Tuscon, Ariz., has already created over nine different paintings of the reality star, and says that her paintings typically sell for $20,000 to $70,000 each. Sources close to Kardashian (perhaps Kris Jenner) however, believe this all may be a scam so Warhol can get her 15 minutes of fame.

When TMZ contacted Warhol, she said that West and Kardashian may be rebuffing her because her alleged surprise gift for Kardashian was ruined and now the famous couple no longer want it.

"She's an icon. She's famous for nothing. Andy would have loved her," Monica recently told the New York Post's Page Six of Kardashian. "Kim is beautiful. She's so manufactured. She looks like a human Barbie."

Monica is known for creating work for rapper Flo Rida, one of her paintings appearing in his music video "How I Feel." While she has never met Andy Warhol, who died when she was just 10-years-old and living in Pittsburgh, and "never studied" his work, she told Page six that she just happens to have a similar artistic style and a love of pop culture figures, though she is "picking up where Andy Warhol left off."
