The week is starting off on a good note for "Fallout 4" fans, as Bethesda released not only a trailer for the game's first DLC pack, Automatron, but also gave key details about it as well.

As per the announcement, Automatron will launch for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on March 22. Players can either purchase it for its stand-alone price for $9.99, or as part of the larger "Fallout 4" Season Pass for $49.99.

The best way to describe Automatron would be post-apocalyptic "Battlebots." The DLC introduces an all-new character known only as the Mechanist who unleashes hordes of evil, violent robots into the Commonwealth. Naturally, it falls on the player to hunt down these robots and destroy them before they cause any lasting damage. The real fun starts once they're destroyed, however, as the player can harvest their parts and use them to create robots of his or her own to pit against the Mechanist's army.

"The mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain," said Bethesda in the announcement. "Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions."

In true "Battlebots" fashion, players have hundreds of mods to choose from including limbs, armor, abilities and weapons, such as the all-new lighting chain gun. Furthermore, players who are at least level 15 are privy to even more options such as customizing their robots' paint schemes and voices.

"Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons such as the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices!" Bethesda continues.

Revealed in February, Automatron is the first in a set of three Fallout 4 DLC that Bethesda has in store. Including Automatron, there's April's Wasteland Workshop,  which expands the capabilities of settlements, as well as May's Far Harbor expansion which Bethesda promises will be the largest-ever landmass for an add-on it's ever created.

Bethesda promises even more add-ons and updates to come out in 2016 such as Survival Mode and the Creation Kit, which allows players to create mods on the PC and then share them across all major platforms.
