We know that Disney has a total of five planned "Star Wars" films on the docket between now and 2020. These five are: "Rogue One," "Episode VIII," a young Han Solo origin story, "Episode IX," and a Boba Fett standalone film. Assuming that these films are met with solid critical reception and put up decent numbers at the box office, Lucasfilm is going to continue to make movies in the "Star Wars" universe.

But just how many "Star Wars" movies should audiences expect? The longevity of the "Star Wars" cinematic universe all depends on the success of each individual movie. But for now, a new rumor suggests you should be expecting a wave of "Star Wars" films over the next few years.

This new unconfirmed report claims that Disney and Lucasfilm have a total of 10 "Star Wars" films in their plans - the five we already know of and five additional films that could extend as far as 2025. The next decade of cinema could all take place in a galaxy far, far away.

J.J. Abrams is quoted as saying that there are "really cool things being discussed" but that doesn't confirm a 10-year plan, so take this whole report with a grain of salt.

However, this does seem to confirm previous rumors of an expanded "Star Wars" slate. Obi Wan Kenobi has long been the source of potential spinoff discussions as has Yoda. The report claims that both Obi Wan and Mace Windu are being considered now as "ideas" and we heard last year that Lucasfilm was even debating a Kenobi trilogy. Those talks obviously haven't gone anywhere to public knowledge.

Mace Windu was one of the few popular elements of the prequel trilogy so it's not impossible that Lucasfilm would be kicking around the idea of some type of spinoff. Perhaps another origin story for the purple lightsaber wielding Jedi Master?

As of right now, Lucasfilm is busy filming "Rogue One" and "Episode VIII." The Han Solo origin story is busy with preproduction and "Episode IX" and the unconfirmed Boba Fett movie have yet to take any official steps.

"Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" is due out on Dec. 16 of this year with "Star Wars: Episode VIII" following on Dec. 15, 2017.
