Hewlett-Packard is offering its latest range of Android-based Slate tablets with multiple screen sizes starting at $149.99.

As tablets continue to dominate the PC market, several mobile companies have introduced a wide range of tablets. Although Apple has been an old player in the field, new additions like Asus, Acer, Lenovo and HP are slowly gaining power. The festive season has always been the most promising time for companies to launch new products and HP is doing just that with its new range of Android-based tablet PCs. The PC maker silently rolled out four new models of Slate tablets with varying screen sizes, features and price range.

HP may have missed Black Friday shoppers and Cyber Monday sales, but has arrived in time for Christmas. Tablets are conveniently occupying the top slot in shopping lists and with numerous brands in hand, consumers are always looking for the best value for money. HP's new range of tablets not only addresses the needs of budget shoppers but also satisfies the desire for high-end specifications in an expensive range.

HP Slate7 Plus

All this is packed under an 8-inch display with a 1,600 x 1,200 screen resolution. The camera has an 8-megapixel shooter on the rear with 720p HD front facing camera.
