HBO's "Game of Thrones" concluded its fifth season on a major cliffhanger: the apparent death of Jon Snow. When last we saw the Lord Commander of the Night's Watch he was being betrayed by his own men, stabbed repeatedly, and left for dead. Now I'm no expert, but when you suffer multiple stab wounds to the chest and don't receive any medical attention, you usually die. That's why everyone believed actor Kit Harington and the rest of HBO when they said Jon Snow was dead.

But no one actually believed he would stay dead. There are numerous theories as to how the character could return this season and the network even put Jon Snow front and center on some of its promotional material. Everyone knows Jon Snow is returning, but Harington insists on continuing the ruse.

"Look, I'm not in the show anymore," he said earlier this week while promoting his leading role on the West End stage in Doctor Faustus. "I'm definitely not in the new series. I filmed some scenes of me being dead - [jokily] it's some of my best work."

Harington then denies knowing anything (you know nothing, Jon Snow!) of the upcoming season beyond that.

"I don't have a clue. I know how long I'm a corpse for, but I can't tell you that!"

We don't doubt that Harington did indeed film some scenes as a corpse, but we don't believe that is all he filmed for "Thrones." In fact, we know that not to be true as leaked set photos hinted that he could be leaving the Nights Watch this season. Why else would his character be decked out in traditional Stark garb?

A member of the Nights Watch serves until death. Well, Jon Snow did die. Once resurrected, his commitment to the Black is fulfilled and he's free to do whatever he pleases and what he pleases could be uniting the North in battle.

We don't have any concrete details on how Jon Snow will be brought back to life this season and we also don't know what he'll do once that happens. But if Harington thinks for once second that we believe he's only in season six as a corpse then he truly does know nothing.

"Game of Thrones" will return to HBO for a sixth season on April 24.
