The Milwaukee Bucks are up there as one of the biggest disappointments in the NBA this season after surprising a lot of people by making a playoff appearance last year. Despite the disappointment this season, the Bucks still have an extremely bright future as they have a lot of talented young players and a growing head coach.

That head coach, Jason Kidd, decided to leave the Brooklyn Nets to coach the Bucks so that he could have more power and a team with a brighter future. It would seem as though Kidd made the right decision as the Bucks look much better off than the Nets, but things aren't all that great between Kidd and Milwaukee's ownership.

Kidd had a previous relationship with Bucks co-owner Marc Lasry before taking the job there: Lasry was Kidd's financial advisor. That relationship still seems to be good, but Kidd's relationship with the other owners, including Wes Edens, seems to have hit a snag. Kidd wanted to make a big deal with the New Orleans Pelicans before last month's trade deadline but he was turned down by ownership, something that likely wouldn't have happened last year.

Kidd seemed to have worked his way up to the point where he was basically the team's general manager so he was able to make the majority of the personnel decisions. Now that doesn't seem to be the case anymore and there is reportedly a division between ownership and Kidd. Kidd has aspirations of becoming the team's top basketball executive and getting out of coaching to be in the front office, but this latest news will hurt those chances.

Part of the problem with Kidd and the Bucks is the fact that his relationship with agent Jeff Schwartz has come into question. Kidd has made a couple of questionable moves in which he has brought in Schwartz's clients when there seemed to be better options out there. These moves include drafting Rashad Vaughn over Bobby Portis and also trading Brandon Knight as part of the deal that brought in Michael Carter-Williams.

The fact that the Bucks are having a down season won't exactly help Kidd's standing with the organization, but it needs to be taken into account that he missed time after having hip surgery. Kidd's one year coaching in Brooklyn ended in a complete mess and it would seem as though he is heading in the same direction with Milwaukee.
