Apple is the most valuable brand in the world in Forbes list. It has scored over rivals Microsoft, Google and Samsung.

Forbes has put up a list of the 100 most valuable brands in the world. By the looks of it, technology has dominated all other domains of business including beverages, restaurants, financial services, automobiles and others. This clearly states people are more interested in the growing technology than what they eat and drink.

Apple has taken the top position in the list of 100 most valuable brands in the world. Apple is the brand that millions of people adore.

Forbes has put up the brand value of $104.3 billion for Apple, which is nearly double than any other brand on the planet. Apple has increased its brand value by 20 percent since last year and is the most valuable brand in the world for a third time in a row.

The list continues as another tech giant, Microsoft takes the second position with brand value of $56.7 billion. The company's growth has not been remarkable but has been consistent . The  transition from PC to mobile world is not working significantly in its favor.

With brand value of $54.9 billion, Coca-Cola takes the third position, followed by IBM ($50.7 billion)and  Google ($47.3 billion).

Samsung was ranked ninth by Forbes with brand value of $29.5 billion, despite having the strongest one-year gain in the entire Top 100 list, up by 53 percent compared to last year. The company's smartphones have played a key role in the significant push and by continuing the same momentum will help Samsung gain higher ranking.

Other companies that made the Top 10 ranks include, McDonald's, with a brand value of $39.4 billion, ranked sixth, followed by General Electric ($34.2 billion), Intel ($30.9 billion), and Louis Vuitton ($28.4 billion),which ranked tenth in the List 100.

Forbes list of world's most valuable brands is based on three-year earnings from 20 different industry categories.
