Prince announced on Tuesday that he will kick off his much-awaited "Piano & A Microphone Tour" with two solo shows in Oakland at the Paramount Theatre, according to SF Weekly.

The musician will perform his popular hits as well as tracks from his album "HITnRUN Phase II" and he'll be doing it solo in two back-to-back shows at 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Sunday.

"I won't know what songs I'm going to do when I go on stage," he said, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. "I won't have to because I won't have a band. Tempo, keys, all those can dictate what song I'm going to play next, you know, as opposed to, 'Oh, I've got to do my hit single now. I've got to play this album all the way through.'

At Prince's recent shows in Australia, he performed classics such as "Let's Go Crazy," "Raspberry Beret," "Controversy," "Little Red Corvette" and covers of Sly & the Family Stone's "Stand" and Joni Mitchell's "A Case of You."

Tickets for Prince's Oakland shows, priced between $99 and $275, went on sale at noon on Wednesday and sold out within a matter of minutes. However, tickets are still available for $500-$4000 on alternate ticket sites such as StubHub, according to CBS San Francisco.
