Taylor Swift took a break from her pop star lifestyle to step into another important role. The "Bad Blood" singer served as the maid of honor at her childhood best friend Britany Maack's wedding to another childhood friend, Ben LaManna, on Saturday in Swift's home state of Pennsylvania, and she shared photos from the big day on her official Instagram page.
The "Wildest Dreams" singer shared a group shot of the bridal party, standing in a field lined with bare trees as the sun set. The groomsmen wore crisp black tuxedos with white collared shirts, black bowties and boutonniere, while the ladies of the bridal party wore shades of peach and blush. Swift stood out in the shot, holding her hands up high in the shot and cheering while clutching a bouquet.
"I met her when I was 10 days old, and him in kindergarten. Now they're married and I'm the happiest maid of honor ever," the 26-year-old singer wrote in the caption on Instagram. "Congratulations @britmaack and Ben!"
Swift shared another photo taken of her and Maack showing off their bridal couture. Fashion designer Reem Acra designed their dresses, People reported. Maack's wedding gown was a hand-embroidered silk taffeta ball gown, and Swift's dress was a blush-colored chiffon gown with a cap sleeved, hand-embroidered bodice and a deep v-neckline.
"Reem does the most amazing bridal designs, and Britany and I were looking through Vogue, and she pointed to this one gown, and I was like, 'I wonder if we could go to the showroom,'" Swift told People in May.
