Rumors started going around last week that Kylie Jenner had signed a deal with Puma, and her half-brother-in-law Kanye West, who has his wildly popular and hard to get Yeezy collection with Adidas, was not happy about it.

It had been said that the 18-year-old reality star signed a contract to be an ambassador for Puma, but that her partnership would not be "full out like Rihanna's collaboration," a source told Us Weekly. The source also explained that Jenner would be earning seven figures to be the face of the sneaker brand. At this time, neither Jenner nor her rep had confirmed the deal, and West seemed to be pretty certain that it would never happen.

"1000% there will never be a Kylie Puma anything," West tweeted after this story broke. "That's on my family! 1000% Kylie is on Yeezy team!!!"

Believe it or not, the rapper was very wrong, because Puma has confirmed that Jenner has signed the deal. "I am pleased and excited to be able to confirm that Puma is indeed working with Kylie Jenner," Adam Petrick, Puma's global director of brand and marketing, told Refinery29. "Kylie represents a fresh and exciting new era for fashion, and we couldn't think of a more fitting and influential female to headline this campaign for Puma."

He went on to explain that her first shoot for the brand's spring/summer training campaign will be released in April.

Sneaker blog NiceKicks also confirmed the news at a fashion tradeshow on Monday. "Today at Agenda Las Vegas, while stopping by the Puma booth at Liberty Fairs, we were able to confirm that the Kylie Jenner Puma partnership is in fact a go," the blog reads. They also revealed that Jenner has reportedly already done the photoshoots.

Apparently, Jenner secretly signed with Puma behind West's back, since Puma is Adidas' competition. West has even explained that when he sent out that tweet, he hadn't known that the deal was underway. "She had already signed," he told TMZ. "And I was mad for a little bit. I'm really happy for her though."

Jenner's deal with Puma is also special because they're still going to allow her to rock Adidas, specifically West's Yeezy sneakers, which she is often photographed wearing, sources have told TMZ. Puma has apparently agreed to let her wear Adidas in addition to Puma, and West is okay with this. Jenner also explained to West that by the time he found out about the deal and was angry about it, she couldn't back out of it, or she would have been sued.
