Ben Affleck is working on another DC Entertainment project besides "Batman Vs. Superman" with the help of his best friend and Hollywood A-list actor Matt Damon.

According to Variety, Affleck, Damon and Jennifer Todd are producing the Warner Bros. film "Sleeper."  Writers Shawn Ryan and David Wiener are developing the script for the movie adaptation for the "Sleeper" series, originally written by Ed Brubaker with art by Sean Phillips.

"'Sleeper'- set in noir universe where a few people are spontaneously developing superpowers - follows Holden Carver, a man who can absorb pain and pass it on to others, as he infiltrates a criminal organization on behalf of a law enforcement agency. His allegiances come into question, especially when he falls for the alluring killer, Miss Misery," Variety reported.

The "Sleeper" project has reportedly been in development since 2008, but no director has been confirmed for the film or any word on casting news.

However, Affleck's "Batman vs. Superman" film will begin production early 2014, but fans of the Caped Crusader were none too pleased with his casting in the role.

The film's producer Charles Roven talked to Variety about the casting decision, stating the seasoned actor fits Zack Snyder's version of Batman perfectly for the movie.

"We wanted a guy who had a certain age and a certain gravitas to what he had done in terms of [Affleck's] recent work," Roven said.  "If you take a look at The Town and Argo, he plays a couple of serious guys in those movies. He's a big man. He's also a mature man. As you see him and Henry Cavill together, one definitely has much more experience just by looking at him. That's what we wanted, particularly juxtaposed against our Superman."

"Batman vs. Superman" is set to officially launch on July 17, 2015.
