The Baltimore Ravens were one of the biggest surprises during the 2015 season, and not for good reasons, as they lost playmakers on both sides of the ball, including their franchise quarterback, Joe Flacco. Baltimore finished in third place in the AFC North with a 5-11 record. The Ravens have been a consistent defensive powerhouse in recent history, and the 2015 season was only the second time in head coach John Harbaugh's eight season in Baltimore that they didn't make the postseason.

The Ravens defense still finished in the top 10 in terms of yards allowed per game but struggled to keep opposing teams out of the endzone, giving up the 24th most points in the NFL. The Ravens may have had one of the most disappointing seasons given their injuries, but they now sit with the sixth pick in the 2016 NFL Draft and will look to add another impact player.

The Ravens have a strong roster returning in 2016 and could look to bolster their defense with their first round pick. One potential prospect that could make a strong fit in Baltimore is Florida State cornerback and safety Jalen Ramsey, according to NFL Media analyst Daniel Jeremiah. "When I look at Jalen Ramsey, you watch him, to me, that's the piece that Baltimore needs because they have not had a playmaker back there in the back end. They need to get one," said Jeremiah, via NFL Network. "Jimmy Smith got that money, (and) was a little up and down, a lot more down than up this past season. (Lardarius) Webb, maybe you move him to safety. But Ramsey to me gives you that elite playmaker. I think they would play him at safety and let him really wreak havoc back there."

Ramsey is considered both the top safety and corner by most draft analysts in this upcoming draft class, and he has drawn comparisons with Chiefs' Sean Smith and Seahawks' Richard Sherman. The Florida State coveted defensive back recorded 52 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for a loss and a sack his junior season with the Seminoles.

Ramsey is reportedly at the top of the Dallas Cowboys' draft board, and many analysts have projected him to land with the Jacksonville Jaguars with the fifth pick. It's unknown if Ramsey will fall to the Ravens in the draft, but if he slides to the sixth pick, don't be surprised if the Ravens select him, as he could be a strong fit at the back end of their defense.
