In 2014, country singer Miranda Lambert opened up a no-kill shelter called Redemption Ranch. Previously, she started the MuttNation foundation as an initiative to help animals everywhere, and she's also partnered with Pedigree, reported HNGN. This week, she's shown her continued commitment to the welfare of animals by donating $175,000 to shelters in all 50 states as part of the Mutts Across America: 50 States/50 Shelters initiative, reported Taste of Country. Each shelter received at least $3,000.

"I feel so passionately about helping all animals and I'm thrilled that we have once again been able to give to phenomenal shelters all across the country. The people at these shelters do such amazing work day in and day out and are truly heroes for the animals," said Lambert, according to Wide Open Country.

The Redemption Ranch was built on five acres of land in Oklahoma and is "a safe haven for homeless animals in need," according to MuttNation's Facebook page. To take a tour of the shelter, head to Taste of Country.

Now, it's not just Lambert's shelter that will be a fantastic place for animals in need. Shelters all over America will be able to spruce up their facilities and take on more animals in need of adoption thanks to the foundation's donation.

"We feel so privileged to be able to continue supporting these shelters that truly stand out. We salute all of the individuals who follow their passion to help animals and defend those who cannot defend themselves," said Bev Lambert, the co-founder of MuttNation, reported Taste of Country.

"Nothing brings me more joy than seeing a person adopt a shelter dog. The looks on both of their faces - the dog and the person - when you see that match happen, it just brings me so much joy," said Miranda, to Rolling Stone Country. Miranda has seven rescue dogs at home as well as five rescue cats herself.

Since the foundation's inception in 2007, it's taken part in spay/neuter initiatives, mill rescues, adoption events, and more, according to the MuttNation website. You can donate on the site as well.
