Charges in the assault that left two off-duty police officers with broken ribs and one with a fractured skull last Sunday reportedly won't come until Wednesday at the earliest. That's technically good news for Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy, one of four men who allegedly took part in the assault, and who is now free to enjoy an extra few days of rest before the media firestorm that's sure to follow the expected charges. The recent comments from Philadelphia Mayor Jim Kenney though, may cause some sleepless nights for the former Philadelphia Eagle.

"In addition to punches being thrown, there were some kicks that looked as if they were being leveled," Kenney said, speaking with CBS Philly. "That's unconscionable and it's cowardly.

"If he wants to pound our officers and stomp our officers, then he needs to pay the price and answer for his actions."

TMZ released video of the alleged altercation earlier this week. It's difficult to see, due to the quality of the video and the lighting in the club, just who is doing what. But it does appear that McCoy throws at least one punch and kicks at someone or something on the ground.

Philadelphia police have reportedly suggested that the Philadelphia district attorney's office pursue charges against McCoy and the other men, but the DA has been taking their time before making a final determination.

CBS Philly managed to speak with someone in the Philly DA's office and was told there is "no timeline, if or when an arrest warrant will be issued."
