Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy seems to be expecting some type of charge in connection with an assault that left two off-duty Philadelphia police officers in need of medical assistance. As John Gonzalez of CSN Philly notes, McCoy originally tabbed high-profile Philly defense attorney Jack McMahon to defend him, but the Bills back has reportedly changed his mind and gone with Larry Krasner. Either way, McCoy, under investigation by police and the district attorney's office, seems ready for an impending legal battle.

And McCoy may have unwittingly handed the prosecution some ammo. PhillyInfluencer.com was able to catch McCoy as he was leaving Misconduct Tavern on JFK Boulevard on Wednesday night, and McCoy uttered a string of words his legal team isn't going to be happy to hear.

Influencer is claiming that McCoy said, "I made a mistake," and as a law enforcement official told Gonzalez, "that's evidence now."

McCoy's reps though claim that what he actually said - which, in his defense is not entirely clear - was that he would "make a statement." Krasner confirmed to Albert Breer of NFL Network Thursday afternoon that he and Dennis Coogan will be representing McCoy, adding that McCoy did not say "made a statement," but that "he'd make a statement sooner rather than later."

The Philadelphia district attorney's office is taking their time determining whether or not to pursue charges against the NFLer - police reportedly recommended they pursue charges - which Gonzalez's source says is "for a reason.

"This can't be rushed."

TMZ posted a video on Tuesday that seems to show McCoy involved in a fight at a bar. The video pauses at several intervals to focus in on the man they believe is McCoy, who at one point is seen throwing a punch and at another, kicking someone on the floor.
