Millions of Americans watch the Super Bowl every year and the same goes for their favorite TV characters. "How I Met Your Mother," "Seinfeld," "All in the Family" and more have featured Super Bowl-themed episodes. "The King of Queens" even plotted two episodes around the NFL championship game.

THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW - "The System" (Season 5, Episode 17 - Jan. 11, 1975)

Ted Baxter never was a very smart man, but somehow he creates a system to win big every week in Lou Grant's football pool with absolutely no knowledge of the game or betting. At first betting with just himself, Ted later hooks up with Lou's bookie and starts making some real money on the games. He abstains from betting on the Super Bowl, but Lou goes ahead with the $2,000 they made together using Ted's system over the season and bets it all on the Super Bowl, which doesn't go over well.

ALL IN THE FAMILY - "Super Bowl Sunday" (Season 8, Episode 16 - Jan. 15, 1978)

Archie Bunker anticipates a big crowd at his bar on Super Bowl Sunday. He buys a projection television and organizes a betting pool for the game. During the game, two guys that none of the customers know enter the bar and end up robbing Archie and everyone else at closing time.

SEINFELD - "The Label Maker" (Season 6, Episode 12 - Jan. 19, 1995)

When Jerry has to attend a wedding for The Drake, he gives up his Super Bowl tickets to dentist Tim Whatley (Bryan Cranston). Tim gives Jerry a label maker in return, but Elaine is convinced she gave the same label maker to Tim the week before. Then when the wedding is called off, Jerry tries to get his tickets back Tim has already invited Newman to the game.

Elsewhere, George finds out his girlfriend has a male roommate and Kramer and Newman are embroiled in a game of Risk.

Bonus! COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE - "The Over-Cheer" (Season 3, Episode 6)

Seinfeld and Jason Alexander reprised their roles as Jerry and George Costanza for this special episode of Seinfeld's web series. The two grab coffee at Tom's Restaurant, used as the exterior for Monk's Café on the NBC sitcom, and discuss the concept of "the over-cheer."

BOY MEETS WORLD - "The Eskimo" (Season 5, Episode 13 - Jan. 16, 1998)

Upset the seniors are slacking, Mr. Feeny gives Shawn, Topanga and Cory an assignment to acquire two tickets to the Super Bowl. Cory has to help and Topanga can't interfere and if Cory fails, so do his friends.

THE KING OF QUEENS - "Hi-Def Jam" (Season 3, Episode 13 - Jan. 29, 2001) & "Attention Deficit" (Season 5, Episode 13 - Jan. 20, 2003)

In "Hi-Def Jam," Doug is so desperate to watch the Super Bowl on an HDTV that he asks his wife to invite her boss over for Doug's poker game where he plans to weasel an invite to the guy's house for the big game.

In "Attention Deficit," Carrie is stressing about her upcoming job evaluation, but Doug is more concerned with getting people to come to his Super Bowl party.

HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER - "Monday Night Football" (Season 2, Episode 14 - Feb. 5, 2007)

For Ted and his friends, it's not a wedding but a funeral that keeps them from watching the Super Bowl live. They must go 24 hours without finding out who won so they can watch it back together on Tivo the next evening.

BOB'S BURGERS - "Easy Com-Mercial, Easy Go-Mercial" (Season 4, Episode 11 - Jan. 26, 2014)

Bob wants to create a commercial that will run during the Super Bowl so he can outshine his restaurant competitor Jimmy Pesto. He hires Randy, a documentarian, to film the commercial and gets former pro football player Connie Frye as a celebrity endorser.
