Celine Dion made her return to the public limelight at the Colosseum Stage at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas Wednesday to honor her late husband René Angélil. The five-time Grammy winner said of her husband: "I feel his love in the room. I feel his strength and his warmth being reflected in all of you. René always surrounded me with the best people who believed in us and always worked so hard on our behalf."

Fighting back tears, Dion, who was the last speaker during the memorial, closed her speech by saying: "On behalf of my family, thank you again for being here for this beautiful tribute of mon amour, René, I love you, so much. Merci. Good night."

Earlier in the memorial service, singer-songwriter David Foster, a longtime friend of the couple, shared memories of Angélil before performing "The Color of My Love," the same song he sang during the couple's 1994 wedding reception, according to Entertainment Tonight Online.

Dion is currently grieving the death of her husband in private along with the couple's three children: René-Charles, 15, and 5-year-old twins Eddy and Nelson, according to Hello!.

Dion's husband passed away last month after a long bout with throat cancer. The singer had to cancel the remainder of her Las Vegas concerts following his death. Her older brother Daniel passed away from the same disease two days later.
