It's a special holiday in America during Super Bowl weekend, but not everyone will be celebrating football. If you're not into the game and the whole Super Bowl culture, it's still best to take advantage of this, as most people will be home and glued to their television.

Here's how you can enjoy Super Bowl weekend if you're not into football:

1) Eat at a trendy establishment. If you're not in the Santa Clara area, where Super Bowl 50 will take place on Feb. 7, you can expect other restaurants to be nearly empty since not a lot of people will be interested in dining out on this night, according to Open Table. This is your chance to grab a good seat at an establishment you've been wanting to try.

2) Go skiing. There are less crowds at ski lodges during Super Bowl season, too, as people are more inclined to stay home to guarantee that they will be able to watch the game. Some lodges actually offer affordable Super Bowl package rates to bring in more visitors, according to MassLive. You'll save at least $20-$30 from the usual rates.

3) Watch a play. Tickets to stage plays are a lot cheaper than Super Bowl tickets in general, and if you love musicals more than sports, Super Bowl weekend is a good time to go.

4) Travel.  Plane fare is cheaper in February, too, so go ahead and book those tickets now. Just steer clear of northern California or Vegas destinations, as these are surely going to be full of people who will be celebrating the games.

5) Go shopping. You can expect no crowds at malls during Super Bowl weekend, even if many stores will be offering discounts and special deals. Just don't make the mistake of checking out sports-related items, as their prices are surely jacked up. Don't shop for your boyfriend, dad or brother just yet.

6) Watch the Super Bowl commercials on YouTube.  Some of the ads are already out, and you're going to find most of it amusing, even if you're not a football fan. Also, your friends and co-workers are likely to talk about this when you get back to work on Monday. You might feel left out if you haven't seen the ads. Here's a compilation:

7) Watch the Puppy Bowl. For more about this event, read this HNGN exclusive: Puppy Bowl XII Preview: Rufferee Dan Schachner Talks Big Game, Animal Adoption And Poop! [EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW].
