Since the beginning of the season fans have wondered how Aaron was able to come back to life, how he’s able to incinerate people with his mind and how he’s able to regenerate himself after being cut with a knife.

According to the preview for Wednesday’s episode, we’re finally going to get some answers.

In the last episode Rachel, Miles and Charlie were preparing to take out Dr. Horn and his fellow patriots with a bomb. (Much to Charlie’s dismay Rachel was prepared to set off the bomb whether her father Gene was in the building or not.)

As Rachel was set to drop the bomb into the building where Dr. Horn was located, Miles had to stop her since he and Charlie saw that Aaron had been captured. Dr. Horn would begin his tests on Aaron and even revealed his true motives for wanting to figure out the secret behind the nanotech inhabiting Aaron. Horn told Aaron he had a tumor. Unfortunately for Aaron, Horn realized that the secret to activating his power was emotion. Therefore, Horn decided to put Aaron under extreme emotional stress by having Cynthia stabbed right in front of him. (Horn wisely left the room before the stabbing took place.) You can watch what happens next in the clip below.

Judging from the preview, while Horn’s method of experimentation may have been unfortunate for Aaron and Cynthia, it was probably more unfortunate for the patriot soldiers.

Rachel, Miles and Charlie, are prepared to take on the aforementioned soldiers in an attempt to rescue Aaron and Gene (Rachel had a change of heart). However, Aaron may have beaten them to it. You can check out the preview below.

“Revolution” airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on NBC.
