Kermit the Frog joined "The Late Show" host Stephen Colbert on his blanket under the stars for the host's latest edition of "Big Questions with Even Bigger Stars." The pair was perfectly matched during Monday night's episode as they pondered the meaning of life and talked about some of their biggest regrets.

"You ever wonder why we're here?"

"Oh, well, I think it's because your people reached out to my agent," said Kermit.

Colbert and Kermit then wondered if it was better to give or receive and decided that high fives were the perfect middle ground. After, they both revealed their biggest regrets, Colbert's was not inventing suitcases with wheels, while Kermit's was enrolling in high school biology.

"What is it that makes you, you?" Kermit asked the host.

"I think it's 12 writers and two hours of makeup," replied Colbert.

Later, Colbert asked the beloved Muppet: "Kermit, do you think we have free will, or is there someone controlling our every movement?"

"Uh, gee," said Kermit, inspecting his limbs. "I guess I never thought about it."
