King's Candy Crush Saga has become so popular that it can be seen in most of the mobile phones or desktop screens through Facebook. The online puzzle game has created an addictive environment, leaving its users wanting more and more with every level crossed.

Started as a single-level game on its developer King's website, Candy Crush made its entry into the Facebook world in April 2012 and launched as a game for smartphones in November last year. According to King's data, the puzzle game has been played more than 150 billion times and has served more than 500 million users who have downloaded the game globally. The data reveals that 61 percent users in the UK play the game during their daily commute on public transport and 78 percent fans admitted to enjoying playing the game while watching TV.

"The past year has been one of the most exciting times for King since Candy Crush Saga launched on mobile," Tommy Palm, Games Guru at King, said in a statement.

The game developer generates revenue with the in-app purchases. But the company has also allowed users to turn off the option, if parents do not want their kids to spend on the game. According to the data, 60 percent of the users who made it to the level 455, currently the last one, did not pay to get there. This shows the developer have put the users' interest first.
