The first time Nick (David Giuntoli) and Hank (Russell Hornsby) found out who Capt. Sean Renard (Sasha Roiz) really was, they discussed whether or not they could trust him. That questions still needs an answer.

In a recent interview with TVLiine.com, Roiz hinted Nick and Hank should continue to be weary of the captain.

According to the website, Alexis Denisof is set to be play a royal cousin named Viktor Albert Wilhelm George Beckendorf (say that fast three times) and he could offer Renard a way to back into the fold. (If you recall, the royals don’t really look at Sean as anything more than his father’s bastard.)

Roiz tells TVLine his character’s family members “definitely understand that that’s very alluring to him.”

“It’s one thing that’s missing from his life… that idea of belonging and having that sense of family, which was stripped away from him,” he adds. “They know how to play that and manipulate that.”

As of right now, Nick and Renard will continue to work together since, as Roiz puts it, they have a “tactic understanding that [they] are not going to get far without one another.”

According to the preview for this week’s episode, Nick and Hank will probably be worrying less about Renard and more about the creepy mermaid-looking Wesen that’s seducing men. What is she doing to the men once she lures them? You can watch the preview below.

“Grimm” airs Fridays at 9/8c on NBC. Read Sasha Roiz's full interview with TVLIne.com here.
