A new study will soon be released detailing how Americans deal with porn and how perceptions of adult content change depending on age and other factors, according to the Washington Examiner.

The study is called "The Porn Phenomenon" and it examines different age groups that use porn, why they use it and how it reflects the morality of the digital age. The research interviewed more than 3,000 people, asking a variety of questions.

The findings, some of which have been posted by the Barna Group, show that older Americans still have a somewhat dirty view of porn, while younger generations don't take offense nearly as much. It also showed that teens to older adults used porn as a safer way of experiencing sex that doesn't put them at risk for STDs.

Researchers also revealed that the stereotype of men using porn is also becoming outdated, as more women are viewing pornographic content.

"While porn has typically been a man's domain, its usage among young women seems to have become more common, perhaps due to digital access," read the report.

The report is not out yet, however, it should be available in April. It appears to be funded by Josh McDowell Ministries.
