Viewers at home were treated to a pleasant surprise when Steven Tyler made an unexpected appearance during CNN's live broadcast of the severe winter storm that hit the country on Saturday.

"I'm gonna hunker down," the Aerosmith frontman said of his plans during the winter storm, according to People. "I've got a funny feeling the storm's gonna keep us here a couple extra days."

The 67-year-old rocker and Manhattan native was in town to pay a visit to his daughter Mia, who appeared with him on camera along with grandson Milo.

Tyler also made an appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" on Friday and appeared on "The Howard Stern Show" on Monday.

Tyler declared that that he would not let the weather stop him from appearing on the show, the New York Daily News reported.

The singer has been busy promoting his new country album, his first ever as a solo artist, entitled "Red, White and You."

When Colbert asked him why it took him long to release his own album, Tyler answered, "Why not?"

"I mean, I can't ever stand still. You can take the country out of rock, but you can't take the rock out of the country," he added, the Daily Mail U.K. reported.
