Lindsey Vonn broke yet another record at Cortina over the weekend.  After winning the downhill on Saturday and the super-G on Sunday, she has also taken the lead in overall World Cup standings. Her victory on Saturday secured her the most wins in the World Cup downhill. Austrian legend Annemarie Moser-Proell set the previous record in 1980.

"I'm running out of this to say," Vonn posted on Facebook, "So happy with another win!" On Sunday, in the super-G, Vonn claimed her eleventh win at Cortina D'Ampezzo. It marked, yet again, the most ever. Austrian Renate Goetschl formerly held the title.

"It's incredible to think back to when I was racing with Renate-it seemed like she won every single race in Cortina and she seemed unbeatable," said Vonn to the Associated Press, "And to have surpassd her now it's kind of hard to process all of these records. It's hard to imagine have more success than my idols."

Vonn now has 75 overall wins in World Cup events. She may soon have the opportunity to surpass the indelible Ingemar Stenmarks high watermark of 86 World Cup wins.

Both days saw variable weather conditions. "It's always tricky with these conditions-the wind was going back and forth," said Vonn to CNN, "Some people got headwind, some people got tailwind. I'm just really happy to come away with another win and another record."

Cortina became iconic to ski racing during the 1956 Winter Olympics. The 64-degree pitch remains in the shade for most of the day and often has a high-quality snow. Contained by soaring pillars, the course is truly picturesque.

"Cortina is one of my favorite places, not just for the track, but also because of how beautiful of a place it is," Vonn said to the New York Times
