The battle lines are drawn in the latest TV spots for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." Clark Kent, aka Superman, declares, "the Bat is dead," while Bruce Wayne, aka Batman, is committed to destroying Superman.

These guys know they're both heroes, right?

In the first new promo, Clark (Henry Cavill) explains to his editor Perry White (Laurence Fishburne) that Batman (Ben Affleck) is a one-man vigilante whom the press needs to hold accountable. Unfortunately, no one cares about "Clark Kent taking on the Batman," so this is a job for... SUPERMAN!

The Man of Steel then threatens Batman face-to-face and tells him to ignore the Bat signal because "the Bat is dead. Bury it."

But Batman won't back down to a little intimidation, especially from a guy who brought an unsolicited war to Earth. Thousands are dead (did you see "Man of Steel?!"), and that's not sitting well with the Caped Crusader.

Of course, Bruce's math is a little dire. He goes from a 1 percent chance to absolute certainty that Superman is the enemy and must be destroyed.
