Blue Origin has once again made space travel history by being the first to re-launch and re-land a reusable rocket to the Karman Line and back on Friday.

"The very same New Shepard booster that flew above the Karman line (border between Earth and space) and then landed vertically at its launch site last November has now flown and landed again, demonstrating reuse," Bezos wrote, according to SPACE.

This makes the private space flight agency created by Jeff Bezos not only the first to successfully achieve vertical landing of a rocket, but also the first to do it twice.

Blue Origin is positive that, given the results, it can soon work on bigger rockets like the full engine BE-4. It would also continue to send New Shepherd back and forth in space, Engadget reported.

Rival company SpaceX has also been attempting to achieve rocket landings, successfully doing one on land while currently attempting to do the same on a drone floating in the sea, as HNGN previously reported.

Despite the rivalry, both companies have one goal, which is to find safe ways to make rockets reusable after sending them to space in order to cut space travel costs.

The announcement came with a video of the rocket's launch and landing, titled "Launch. Land. Repeat."
