Super Bowl 50 is just over two weeks away, and those looking for the best television for watching the Big Game with friends and family should take note of these deals.

FatWallet's annual TV Buyer Survey recently collected data that potential TV buyers may want to look at before making their choice before Super Bowl weekend. Among these findings was that 26 percent of Americans are expected to buy a new TV in 2016, and one-fourth of them will do so during Super Bowl sales, according to WDRB. This puts the Big Game ahead of Black Friday, with only 18 percent saying that they would by their firs TV on the day after Thanksgiving.

Buying big screen TVs online is also becoming more popular, according to FatWallet online shopping expert Brent Shelton, who noted that consumers have the chance to save an average of 20 percent or more on high-end TVs in January.

The desire for bigger TVs for big events was also emphasized in the survey, with 84 percent of respondents saying that they wanted a TV with a screen measuring between 40 and 70 inches, Digital Trends reported. The fact that larger screen sizes have become more affordable over time gives people the chance to have the Super Bowl experience they hope for.

4K TVs are also popular among customers due to the clearer, more vibrant images they provide compared to other options, with the survey finding that almost half of TV buyers are expecting to purchase one this year, CNN Money noted.

Fifty-five percent of respondents plan on spending at least $500 on a new TV, while 27 percent said they will spend over $700.

Walmart is among the retailing giants offering great deals, such as the 50-inch Samsung 4K UHD TV and the 55-inch LG 4K UHD TV (both for $698), as well as the Vizio 55-inch Smart LED HDTV for $568, according to CNN Money.

Samsung's 60-inch UHD 3D Smart LED HDTV is also available at Amazon and Best Buy for $997.99 and $999.99, respectively, and eBay is selling the 60-inch LG 4K 120Hz Smart LED HDTV for $899.99, Inquisitr reported. All three options come with free shipping.

Target's deals include the 60-inch Samsung 120Hz LED HDTV for $697.99 and the 55-inch Samsung 120Hz Smart 4K TV for $797.99

Those looking to do NFL 4K streaming or NFL 4K via cable or satellite TV should know that the NFL hasn't revealed any plans for a 4K broadcast of the Super Bowl. Fox Sports and other media companies have talked about shooting the event with 4K cameras, but nothing has been made official.
