Country singer Tim McGraw released the music video for his new single, “Humble and Kind,” today via Facebook. The song is the latest from his recently released album “Damn Country Music.”

The video for the ballad about being a good person, staying grounded and doing the right thing, directed by Wes Edwards, contains footage from Oprah Winfrey’s documentary “Belief” depicting people of all ages from various nations across the globe.

“I felt like it was going to be a special song when we finished it,” said McGraw, according to a news release on his official website. “Then, when we mixed it, it just really came alive…. I think it’s just the message that the world needs. The song is so special, we wanted the video to really have a meaning to it and the video to be really universal and worldly and encompass everyone and what the emotion of the song is.”

Humble and KindThis song is so special to me. I really wanted a video that showed the universality of the message of Humble and Kind. Thanks to Wes Edwards for executing this vision and to Oprah Winfrey for lending us scenes of Belief from all over the world. I hope you like it as much as I do.

To coincide with the single’s release, McGraw launched the #StayHumbleAndKind movement. The Grammy winner wants fans - and people all over the world - to perform random acts of kindness and post stories and photos about their experiences to the website StayHumbleAndKind.com in order to “create a network of giving” and encourage others to follow your admirable lead. “We want to celebrate positive stories that embody the lyric and message of the song - from the most simple to the extraordinary,” explained McGraw.

McGraw - who is married to fellow country artist Faith Hill - has sold more than 40 million records since the mid-’90s. He will be performing live at various festivals this summer.
